Hello there and welcome! My name is Malavika Vijayendra Vasist and I am a PhD student at the University of Liege (Belgium) in the department of Space Sciences/Astronomy under a FRIA grant. I graduated with a Masters degree in Astronomy and Data Science from Leiden University (Netherlands). 

​

My broad interest lies in using Data Science techniques to solve problems in astronomy. I focus on direct imaging of exoplanets. My PhD involves using simulation based inference (SBI) to characterize exoplanet atmospheres in  under the supervision of Dr. Olivier Absil and Dr Gilles Louppe.
